With his father being an eighties rock legend, Cadoc grew up around rock 'n' roll and not just its glory, but the downfalls that came with fame. He watched his father go in and out of rehab on what seemed like a monthly basis and he saw firsthand how the industry could spit you out and throw you on the streets. Still, Cadoc wanted a taste of it for himself. The world loved Cadoc and soon he found himself on top of every Billboard chart and on the cover of every magazine. Then came a few incidents that changed him for the worst and he wanted nothing to do with the paparazzi, fame or even his own fans. The media wouldn't let go of him and he was bound by contract until 2005 when he nearly had a mental breakdown. In attempt to rest and refresh his client, Cadoc's manager sent him on a four month vacation.
