Played By: Josh Hartnett.
Birthdate & Age: August 15, 1979 & 30. Screen name: jefferus snape. Biography: Jeffrey Samuel Blette entered the world (more specifically Chicago, Illinois) on August 15, 1979, much to the joy of his mother, Laura. That joy was short-lived, however. Laura, unfortunately, was the original Juno, having gotten knocked up by her dead beat boyfriend at the age of 16. She decided to have the baby and put it up for adoption. She found a nice black couple who were unable to have another child and were looking for one more to join an older sister and brother. Laura had reservations about her very white baby boy becoming a part of this all black family, but she just couldn't say no. The Blettes were perfect. They named him Jeffrey, and he fit in right away. Sure, the color of his skin brought about some questioning glances, but his parents, Steve and Maureen, only loved him more. He was doted upon by his older siblings, Zoe and Kyle, and the three of them lived a wonderful childhood. The neighborhood and school that the children attended eventually adjusted and accepted this strange family dynamic. The Blette siblings were immensely popular in school, each exceling in a different area. Zoe became the school's star soccer player (even outshining the boys), Kyle found his niche as student body president, and Jeff ended up on stage. Drama Club became Jeff's home away from home, his talent growing throughout his high school years. Senior year became crunch time as Jeff prepared to dig his own grave: he was going to apply to a theatre school. It was do or die, and Jeff was scared. It was either get into the programs at one of these schools or be forced to wait a year while he moped at home. Thankfully, several universities found his talent to be truly unique. He decided on DePaul University: a respected and very competitive school in the heart of Chicago. The pressure of being one of the 22 fortunate ones to make it into the theatre program at DePaul drove Jeff to explore all he could. He studied and performed his heart out every chance he could. He took time to not just study theatre, but other aspects of the entertainment industry. Film classes piqued his interest, especially the things going on behind the camera. These four years turned Jeff from a high school dreamer to a truly respected young actor, and the industry took notice. A talent manager was in the audience during his senior showcase, and Jeff jumped right out at him. A month later, Jeff had representation. They sent him out audition after audition right after he graduated, but nothing came of it right away. He had a spot waiting for him at the Yale School of Drama where he could pursue a Master's, but his agent knew something big was just about to happen for Jeff. And he was right. Just three weeks before classes started, Jeff landed a role in the thriller Final Destination. Jeff's fresh-faced talent landed him role after role, but he didn't really hit his stride until he got to be a part of Brokeback Mountain. The outporuing of love from critics and fans launched Jeff to the A-List, garnering him fame, fortune, and any role he could ever want. But Jeff just wasn't that guy. He still went on auditions and only called on his big connections when he had to. He didn't get lost in the party scene and never spilled the intimate details of his life to Rolling Stone. Jeff wanted to live a life worth remembering, and he decided to do that away from the spotlight when he could.
Still that anomaly from Chi-Town, Jeff considers himself a seasoned verteran of the business. He has found enough success to be able to do what he wants
creatively and still be able to pay the bills. Whether sliding in some dry humor on set or spending time at home with the fam, Jeff just lives life as it comes.
