Susan Kaseler
"Volunteer Coach of the Year: Susan Kaseler (Bainbridge Island, WA)
Susan Kaseler was recognized for the Volunteer Coach of the Year
award primarily for her work as coach of the Bainbridge High School Sailing Team.
Kaseler became an assistant for the Bainbridge High School Sailing Team
in 1999 and was named coach two years later. The Team enjoyed a successful year in 2004,
winning the Northwest District Championships for Doublehanded and Team Racing,
competing at the High School Team Racing Nationals, and helping to raise $30,000 to purchase
a new fleet of boats for the school." US Sailing Archived News
Assistant Coach
Nick Taylor
Nick began his involvement with the BHS Sailing Team in 1998. He
sailed with the team two years before signing on as an Assistant
Coach.
He is also an experienced Race Committee Officer, running
numerous district level regattas as well as national events.
He has
enjoyed working with the coaching staff, sailors, and parents in the
past, and hopes for many fun and exciting seasons to come.

John DeMeyer
John started interscholastic sailing in the Northwest in 1995 and had been instrumental in a campaign to obtain
a new fleet of Fj's from Stanford University for the 2004 high school sailing season.
