Birthdate & Age: 05/04/1984 & 24 Screen name: funsize betty Biography: Born and raised by a film lighting technician and a receptionist in Orange County, California Elisabeth 'Betty' Andreadis lived as normal a childhood as one possibly could. After numerous failed attempts at giving Betty a brother or sister, her Greek father and German mother gave up and focused all their energies on their daughter. From a young age Betty's father fostered her interest in music urging her to participate in choir and theatre in high school. Upon graduation Betty decided that she wanted to be in the music industry in some way. She knew a lot of friends in bands and started going to a lot of local shows, determined to find an act to manage. When she was 19 she saw a band called Ugly Duckling and faked her way through managing them for several months until she was able to help them move on to bigger and better things. In the summer of 2004 she was lucky enough to have an editor at Spin Magazine contact her after reading her online music zine and offer her a contributing writer position. She accepted it and used the job to pay the bills for the next several years while she worked on writing her own music guide 'The Pocket DJ' which was released in 2005 and went on to spend several months on The New York Times Best Seller's list, she released it's follow-up 'Pocket Karaoke' in early 2008 Betty's has a very outgoing personality once she gets to know someone, but is often picky about who she chooses to associate with. She is well known in the music industry for having an ear for new talent, and prides herself on not being musically elitist. She is relatively laidback and easy to get along with, but can be insecure and emotional like most females. She loves fashion and shopping, but dislikes label whores, prefering vintage or home made clothing to anything she could find on Robertson Blvd. She's a loyal friend and not half bad on the guitar, though she's convinced herself that she's pretty horrible. |
