Ramsay's Boiling Point

These two documentaries were our first look at volatile chef, Gordon Ramsay. "Boiling Point" was a five-part series and "Beyond Boiling Point" was six. Thanks to the British Film Institute for the BP synopsis, and LifeStyle FOOD for the BBP ones.



Episode 1- Chef Gordon Ramsay is filmed a few days after he walked out of the Aubergine restaurant, where he made his name, and this programme follows him through the opening of a solo venture.
Episode 2- The new restaurant is up and running, but a public disagreement between Ramsay and food critic A.A. Gill is threatening to turn into a personal feud.
Episode 3- This programme follows Ramsay as he supervises a meal for 650 guests at a banquet at the palace of Versailles on the eve of the World Cup Football Final.
Episode 4- Six months of preparation come to a head when 650 guests take their seats for a banquet at Versailles on the eve of the World Cup football final.

Beyond Boiling Point

Episode 1- He says he's changed but has he? Episode one sees Ramsay awaiting two great events, the birth of his twins and the Michelin awards. Will he finally get his 3rd Michelin star?
Episode 2- After the Michelin star debacle Ramsay wants revenge. But first he's got a court battle to face, a lawsuit, and a friend who is fast becoming a rival. Will he lose a million pounds?
Episode 3- The bad boy of cooking gets invited to Downing St to cook for Tony Blair. But he's got to run the London marathon the day before, and help a friend at the annual catering fair.
Episode 4- Ramsay's on a culinary pilgrimage to Spain but the near-religious experience quickly turns into a glorified beer trip. After a 21 course dinner, the nightlife can be damaging.
Episode 5- Ramsay's off to Australia to promote his latest book. After the 37 hour flight Gordon's got to face his first interview and, mouthing off about Aussie chefs, causes a literal riot.
Episode 6- Gordon is out to get total domination of the London restaurant scene. However his critics are fighting back, his prot�g� may be a threat, and the Food Awards are not helping.
