![]() Olivia Leigh Hunter Played By: Summer Glau. Voice: Sara Bareilles Birthdate & Age: December 12th 1985 & 22 Residence: Manhattan, New York Screen name: catch a liv Biography: The details of Olivia Hunter's life so far, are so well known, and have been spread across a number of different publications that there is barely a person in the country who hasn't at least heard the rumors. Born on the 12th of December 1985 to Julianne and Patrick Hunter, in New York City, Olivia was trained for the stage from the moment she could talk. Her mother, who fit perfectly into the overbearing, stage mother stereotype 'persuaded' her daughter to take part in beauty pageants across the country. Some she won, some she didn't but Julianne, who at 44 was 'past her prime' was soon hooked on all the attention having a daughter in the spotlight garnered her and it wasn't long before she signed the toddler up for acting lessons and began taking her to auditions. Whether Olivia ever wanted to be an actress or not, nobody really knows, certainly not Olivia herself but from the moment she first appeared on screen when she was just 8 years old (in 1994's A Little Princess) it was obvious that the young girl was going to be a star. A small role in, Hook, followed two years later as did Olivia's first big 'deal'. All the trailing around to auditions with her mother finally paid off when she was cast as the new and improved Morgan Matthews in the already popular sitcom Boy Meets World. Olivia stayed with the show for four years, until it's end in 2000, only leaving once to play the titular rule of Harriet M. Welsch in 1998's Harriet the Spy. With the end of Boy Meets World Olivia's position in Hollywood was unstable - would she be able to carve out a place for herself amongst the greats or would she be relegated to the, admittedly larger, pile of childstar has-beens? Well, thanks in most part to Julianne's ferociousness Olivia has never had to worry about that and even before filming on the show wrapped the teenager had been signed up to portray Bridget in the adaptation of Ann Brashares first novel The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants as well as the smaller role as Gretchen in Donnie Darko. It was whilst doing promo work for both of these films that Olivia's personal life was first splashed across the pages of the tabloids when it was revealed that her parents had actually been stealing her earnings and spending it on frivolous items such as sports cars. Olivia was distraught and yet, at the same time, furious and almost immediately filed for emancipation which the Judge granted. Being alone in Hollywood at 16 years old is terrifying and exhilarating all at the same time, Olivia discovered. She no longer had anyone else in charge of her money or her career and she could do absolutely anything she wanted. This is perhaps a dangerous position for a teenager to be in but at that period of her life all that Olivia wanted was to break out of the childstar mold which she'd had foisted on her due to her time on Boy Meets World. So, she immediately began shooting for the last film deal her mom had arranged for her: A Walk To Remember. This film was based on the Nicholas Sparks weepie of the same name, but updated to resonate more with today's teenagers. In the film, Olivia was required to sing and for the first time she discovered the joy that music would bring her. Upon discovering how well she could sing the director and screenwriter immediately asked Olivia to record a couple more songs than had originally been decided upon. After A Walk To Remember it was obvious that Olivia had been bitten by the music bug and she made, in quick succession, three more films in which she showcased her vocal abilities: A Cinderella Story, Ella Enchanted and Reefer Madness: A Movie Musical. In between shooting these musical films, Olivia returned to television for a short story arc as Lily Kane, murdered best friend of the titular character, in the neo-noir inspired Detective show Veronica Mars. In 2007 two important things happened for Olivia's career. Firstly, she was cast as Vanessa in a tv show called Gossip Girl. The show was an instant hit and despite the fact that, at first, she wasn't a main character, the show's success rubbed off on Olivia, thrusting her even more into the spotlight than she had been previously. The second was that she appeared in her first action film, Transformers as Mikaela Banes, illustrating that she wasn't just chick-flick fodder. With the success of Gossip Girl pushing Olivia into the spotlight the 22 year old has recently discovered the joys of parties and clubbing. When she's not on-set she's frequently photographed hanging out at clubs with her co-stars and getting into all manner of mischief. Having decided that she no longer wanted to be viewed as a child, Olivia has recently attempted to take on more 'adult' roles including that of Nurse/Sister Evelyn in The Fall, which is to be released at Christmas and as Silk Spectre II in Watchmen, which is her first real exploration into darker territory. She is also planning on recording an album at some point in the future, if only she can find the time between partying, filming and trying to prove to the world that she's no longer the 'Little Liv' they remember.
