Biography: Getting her start in commercials, Harlow's parents knew that their kid was going to be different. Quick witted and always a ham to the camera, Harlow began to go on auditions after the family moved from New Jersey to sunny Southern California. After a year of searching and getting her small and fragile ego bruised Harlow finally landed the role of Lizzie McGuire. Spending four years as a teen on TV caused Harlow to have to grow up in front of everyone's eyes. Acting wasn't her only love, she enjoyed music just as much and decided that she wanted to record an album. She found the time while filming Lizzie McGuire and also to take a lead role in the movie Thirteen. The last year of Lizzie McGuire was the year Harlow released her album and took a role in Mean Girls, playing Janis Ian, an outcast. While trying to figure out her next move in the music business she took three years to release her next album, in the meantime she took a few small parts in movies and landed the role of Clare Bennet on Heroes. Harlow has continued to work on the set of Heroes and a few more roles, is currently finishing up her third studio album and securing roles for the future.
Harlow lives and works in California but she's also known to have an apartment in New York. She's not shy about making herself at home wherever she's filming, but she likes to keep her actual residences to a minimum. She also still has a room at home at her parent's in the house she grew up in.
