rules
Marriages happen, even after a week. However if you divorce, you can't get married again for two months. Divorces don't happen in 2 minutes.
Pregnancies: You can't be dating for a month and be three months pregnant with that person's child. Your pregnancy will have to last full term--you can't deliver before your 33rd week begins. Please research properly if you're going to do this kind of SL and keep it as realistic as possible if your celebrity is not pregnant in RL.
No characters under the age of 15 will be allowed in either. (Certain exceptions can be made, that will be the discretion of the mods so you MAY apply but be aware that there's a strong chance for denial, and also if accepted you're expected to play them maturely yet in a realistic fashion and they cannot end up in relationships with Brad Pitt or married/pregnant if they're 11.)
Do not kill off your character. No coma storylines. Okay...There is no need to do this. At all. If you want to go, give up your spot. Do not use a death storyline. We understand people will get sick, have accidents. But no comas. And no killing your character or attempting to kill another. This goes for pregnancy. No miscarrying. Don't want your character to have a kid? Don't let her get pregnant.
Please don't fight! If you have a personal issue with someone OOC, try not to let the problem affect how you play IC (In Character). If your character is having issues IC and you feel it's out of hand, go OOC with the other writer by talking in (parenthesis) or [brackets] if absolutely necessary. We each have different sensitive issues and emotions that will come out in RP. Remember this and be respectful of others. Rude and/or inappropriate behavior towards others...which is up to the mods of the community to decide if you're being nasty for no reason...can and probably will get you kicked from the community. It's not necessary and we just don't need or want it here. Everyone can and should get along. If you don't care for someone ooc, simply don't deal with them. Also? Don't be rude to the mods. Especially when the mods are nice to you. It gets you nowhere. And it's not needed. If there's something going on that you don't like, comment the mod journal and discuss it. Chances are something can be worked so that everyone is happy. Venting or ranting about it elsewhere is pointless if you've done nothing to solve the problem. Sometimes problems are missed, a mod can't know what's going on everywhere so if something is up point it out. Nicely, please.
Since this recently came up we will address it here. No playing intimate/immediate co-stars of your character(s).
Journals are to be updated at least once every 4 weeks, though we prefer more frequent updates. If interested in overriding, comment this journal to check on the status of the character and when the next removals are). If you miss your update and are removed, you're welcome to update and re-apply. One liners or placeholders are not considered updates and removal will come a week after they are posted.
Upon making your intro, you will need to make another post within a week and attempt to be active on AIM. This allows roles to not be held up for the three weeks if someone should just join and never do anything with their spot, but removals will normally only happen at one week if the role is requested for override. Once the one week period has passed and you've updated, the three week update rule will take effect. You can be removed at any time for "infractions". A warning may be issued if the issue isn't severe but please note that the quality of writing is to be kept up and if it's felt (by a concensus of opinion) that the portrayal is no longer accurate, etc, you will be warned and/or removed. Should you have a problem holding to either, an OOC note in your journal and/or a comment to the mod journal to inform us of the issue will be required in order to secure your place. By applying, you agree to the rules stated above and below.
No slash, unless your character is openly bi or gay. It's understood that some people might not agree with and/or like this rule and that's understandable as everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but most people really do appreciate it. There are plenty of communities that welcome slash, even center around it, and we respect their rights to do so, so please be considerate and respect our rights to not have it in our community unless the character is, as stated, open with their sexuality in which case any and all characters and SLs are welcome as we do have a few characters who currently fit this description and fit in very nicely.
We strongly encourage the act of Friends locking all of your journal entries.
If there's a reason you can't post to your journal and you think you might miss a deadline, let the mod know by posting an OOC in your journal, behind a cut tag, as well as in the
shaped journal or comment. If you do not post the note in your private journal as requested, and you somehow get removed, it is not the mod's fault. You may re-apply if your role is still open.
If you have any problems or questions comment the glammod journal.
No teenie talk. Please be mature and have your character be as well. This includes on AIM, both ooc and ic, as well as in journals. One word responses like "Hey" and "*laughs*" do not make for a fun RP. And for the love of all that's holy...do not spell "cool" with a "K". We ask that you don't "lol" "lmao" "rofl" "lmfao", etc in journal or comments (though we do realize it slips every now and then, just please don't base an entire conversation around netspeak through comments or post it in one of the subcomms for all to view). If it doesn't bother the people you're talking to one-on-one over AIM then that's fine. Also, the use of actions in journals and comments like *laughs* or *smiles* is not needed. Nobody can see that you're doing these things when typing, so please try to refrain from using them.
No harrassing IC or OOC. Mods will remain out of OOC situations (unless they're very extreme). If you don't like someone OOC, stay away from them IC. However, we will not tolerate people harrassing via IM or comment, be it IC or OOC. This is a game, have fun.
Stalking is not fun. If it comes to realization that this situation is going on, you get one warning. One. We want to keep this a light, fun, united place to play.
Please take note that this is a celeb roleplaying community, and we will only take on celebrity roles, not their wives, husbands, brothers, sisters, or their cousin's uncle's brother's aunt or whatever unless they are known for something other than being related or married to a certain celebrity. Please take note of this when applying that you will not be accepted if you are applying with one of these roles. This goes for people famous for only their Myspace pages and/or who they've dated or hang out with.
