biography.
Raised on the outskirts of LA, Micha was the third child born to Leigh and Malcom Filgrave. With two older brothers and a younger sister, their home was a constant buzz of noise; the kids coming and going with friends, music blasting. Early on his elder brothers laid heavy influence on their sibling. In introducing Micha to the iconic bands they related to and refused to live without, the proverbial spark had been lit. By the time he entered middle school, Micha's every growing musical repertoire surpassed nearly all of his classmates; save for one. It was in sixth grade that Micha met Alex Dohrety. Just three years later, the two would join forces with mutual friend Jacob Greenwood to form The Social Club of Sounds. .

Full of young blood of high hopes, the three band mates focused solely on the project, letting school and their social lives slip in exchange for the off chance of playing a bar on the strip. Often times the underage band was ushered in the back door, allowed to play a few songs before being directed right back out. As laughable as it seemed, the guys jumped at any opportunity to play that arose. Through landing local gigs and touring neighboring cities and states, the guys began to build a following and soon gained attention. One of the first bands to ride the wave of success via internet super social sites like MySpace, the trio paved helped pave the way for the uber trendy networking of today. It was in 2007 the band got their break, signing to Tooth & Nail Records. 2008 saw their release of their self titled indie pop/rock album. After a little over a year of steady touring on the band announced they would be taking a break to focus on new material. Some months later, after a string of canceled shows, it was announced the band members were going their separate ways.

Upon returning to LA, Micha returned to playing his own style of music around town. Popping up at various venues throughout the city, hitting up open mic nights, the machine was put into motion as they say. Throughout the summer he ventured back into the studio with new material and set to work on his solo album. The Transatlanticism release is set for October 13, 2009.
