Throughout grade school, it was movies that were his passion, and film was the nurturing force behind his budding artistic talents. Most children watched films mindlessly, without giving much thought to what was behind them. Sofian, inquisitive from an early age, was immediately full of questions: How did one become an actor? Were the neighbourhoods real places? What was a film camera? How did they sync the voices and picture together? He asked so many questions that his parents, an electrician and a receptionist from Pottstown, Pennsylvania, had to start reading up on film themselves, to answer their son's inquiries. When Sofian started the first grade, his reading comprehension skills were years ahead of his classmates', from all the high school and college level film textbooks he spent his time flipping through. Other stuff: Looking for storylines? Sofian and I are happy to provide you with them. Sof will basically get along with anyone, honestly. He's picky about close friends, but he's friendly with everyone. Up until very recently, he was known to do a lot of sleeping around (He's gay, but secretly aspires to have the most ridiculous sex possible with Lenora Khetienn. Then again, who doesn't?), and back before the publication of his first comic book, he was also known for a lot of recreational drug use. As a teenager, though, he was mellow and studious to the point of being an honest-to-God dork, and lately, he's more or less come back to that. Generally, people are surprised when they find out just how serious-minded he really is, since he comes off as so boisterous, most of the time. He's totally unatheletic, has an unreasonably massive collection of Halloween props and theatre makeup, is a pretty strong haemotophiliac (to the point of going through a couple phases in his life where it was sexually crippling), admires the hell out of Immanuel Kant, is obsessed with werewolves, loves it when his boyfriend cooks for him, and (whew!) is currently looking forward to the production of his next film, and a handful of music videos for his best friend, Oliver Shepherd.
